We just received the great news that a EU HORIZON grant proposal in which the Center for Modeling Social Systems plays a key role has been approved for funding! Thanks to Pati Antosz for leading the application process!

The proposal was aimed at the FARM2FORK scheme, with a special focus on the call for “Evidence-based decision-making to change social norms towards zero food waste.”

The title of our proposal is “Changing practices and Habits through Open, Responsible, and social Innovation towards ZerO food waste” (CHORIZO).

As you might guess, we’ll be developing computational models and social simulations of the causal links and social norms that shape the entire chain of food production and use, exploring the conditions under which – and the mechanisms by which – food waste can be reduced.
