Wesley Wildman and I are working on an article for a special issue on “Modelling and Simulation of Human-Environmental Interactions” in the journal Sustainability.

Our tentative title is “Human Simulation and Sustainability Modeling.” The plan is to outline our approach to Human Simulation – outlined and illustrated in detail in this book – and to demonstrate its relevance for modeling the mechanisms and conditions that foster sustainability in contemporary socio-ecological systems.

We will explore some of the implications of the Human Simulation paradigm for the design, implementation, and dissemination of the results of models of sustainability, and describe some of our recent models and work in progress.
