As part of the EU HORIZON project “Changing practices and Habits through Open, Responsible, and social Innovation towards ZerO food waste” (CHORIZO), we’ve published a paper that outlines two computational models aimed at lowering food waste at hotels and at home.

This is a great example of how agent-based modeling and social simulation can inform policies related to sustainability concerns, in this case attending to the way in which social norms play a role in people’s attitudes and behaviors.
